Since 2008, Riverwood Farms' foundation stud RF 3492, known to us as “Quigley” has been our primary flock sire.  Quigley is an embryo transplant from Highveld Stud in Australia.  Not only is Quigley the 2005 Reserve National Champion Ram at San Angelo, but also he sired Riverwood 4310 who is the Midwest Sale Reserve Champion Ram in 2007.

Quigley is massive, with super heavy muscling and  bone structure.  He is broad of chest and shoulders and possesses hind quarters that are inspiring.  RF 3492 is very masculine headed and unquestionably a true Type 5 Stud. Quigley has marked the industry from Ohio to Oregon’s Broadmead Farms, and we are thrilled with the Champions he has sired at Locust Creek Dorpers!

"War Wagon"-Hamilton Sheep Station - HSS 1211 "War Wagon"-Hamilton Sheep Station - HSS 1211

In 2009, we acquired HSS 1211 from Hamilton Sheep Station   "War Wagon" was the 2009 Fort Worth Stock Show Reserve Champion Ram.  His Sire, HSS 982, was the 2007 National Champion White Dorper Ram.  Both Sire and Dam were imported embryos from Kaya Stud in Australia.  These new bloodlines are carrying our program forward.

From front to rear, War Wagon is one of the thickest rams we have seen.  The strength of muscling in his hind quarters is undeniable.  HSS 1211 maintains superb body score under the sort of extensive conditions that cause other rams to fail.  War Wagon is noted for his correctness and masculinity of head.  All these traits are wrapped in a 100% hair coat.  We are experiencing great results from War Wagon's lambs.

"Knockout"-Riverwood Farms-RF 4850-RR "Knockout"-Riverwood Farms-RF 4850-RR

We are elated with the newest addition to our battery of Stud Rams!  In October 2010, Riverwood Farms' RF 4850, "Knockout", arrived at Locust Creek Dorpers.  Riverwood has used RF 4850 as one of their primary flock sires.  Knockout was in the N.A.I.L.E. championship drive as a lamb in 2007 and as a yearling in 2008.  He stands perfect on his legs and feet and is the first RR ram we have used in our flock.  Knockout's barrel is so massive that the breeding harness fits him only at its fullest capacity.

Knockout has produced numerous champions, including the 2010 Reserve National Champion Ewe.  Expect to be wowed in 2011 by Locust Creek Dorper Champions out of Knockout.
